LA ROUX - B. RICH REMIX

Here's yet another remix of La Roux. This is a new one titled "Tigerlily" (which I have no doubt that this track will be remixed just as much as "Bulletproof" and "In for the Kill"). The re-work is done by B. Rich. I'm loving how a lot of producers are also beginning to put out dubstep tracks - keeping things fresh and bringing new sounds into the genre. La Roux - HEAVY BASS! Check it out and remember that your speakers are all the wayup.

MICHAEL JACKSON R.I.P.

Today one of the greatest artists and performers of all time passed away. Michael Jackson left the world at the age of 50, leaving a mark in history and the rest of us an innumerable amount of unforgettable songs, dance movies, and crazy stories. There's no telling how many artists he's influenced and if you're a fan of dance music in general, you are probably a fan of MJ. There will never be a replicate of Michael Jackson.

KING OF POP - REST IN PEACE.

CROOKS & CASTLES x VANS MODA HI SNEAKERS

via HypeBeast

Here's a preview of a new sneaker from an upcoming collab by Crooks & Castles and Vans. These kicks are part of the East vs. West pack and features a 100% black epi leather base combined with a traditional white sole. I'm into the reptile skin-ish detailing and of course the clean, minimal design and flow. Seems like somewhat of a knock off of Supra's stuff, just not as flashy. This is probably the hottest sneaker Vans has ever been a part of. They're set to release in March 2010, start saving your pennies...

TRUMPDISCO

Australian duo Trumpdisco caught my eye during the AC Slater "Hello" remix contest where every bedroom DJ, their mother, their grandmothers, and pets submitted many surprisingly decent as well as blatantly shitty versions. Trumpdisco's take on the remix was personally my favorite.

They've come back with an edit of one of the most highly anticipated tracks right now from Russian producer The Proxy titled "Who Are You?" Keep in mind that it's just an edit, so I'm sure it's not too far off from the original - containing lots of the expected distortion and striking bass hits. However, it's enough to keep me excited while I wait for the original to drop. Check it out below as well as other work by Trumpdisco. Keep on eye on these dudes, I can't wait to see what they come up with in the near future. Show them some love and check out more originals on their MySpace.

BABY ARMIE

'Tis the season of mixtapes. This next one is from fellow Arkansan, Baby Armie, formally known as Luminfire of Ants In My Trance fame. With a new alias, there's also a change from his usual mixes of italo disco and classic house music, this one is comprised of fun overlooked remixes and bass-thumpin' b-more style party tunes that puts a smile on my face and gets me in the summer spirit.

WOLF-E-WOLF - SUMMER '09 MIX

Local electro/dub producer Wolf-E-Wolf has finished up a summer mixtape full of many sick cuts and edits that lasts through it's entirety. Wolf-E-Wolf is the biggest up and coming DJ out of the fresh new pack of rising DJs in the Central Arkansas area. I'm happy to say that I've had the privilege of hearing some of his unreleased work... watch out for this guy.

LA ROUX - FOAMO REMIX

La Roux's first single "In For The Kill" (which had it's fair share of remixes) was very close to being #1 on the UK charts. She's coming back with another single "Bulletproof" on June 22nd which I'm sure will be another hit in the blogosphere and the rest of the world. Below is an unofficial dubstep remix from Foamo, which I believe is his 2nd remix of this track. Crushing bass and harmonic vocals, not a bad combination.

STENCHMAN + MORE

"Tonight there are two kinds of darkness in this city. First, there’s that darkness which is merely the absence of light. And then there’s that darkness which is the physical presence- the very manifestation- of the ultimate, Satanic evil. That second and malignant form of darkness feeds upon and cloaks itself in the first and more ordinary kind of darkness, cleverly disguises itself. But it’s out there. Therefore, I don’t wish to have shadows close to me this night, if I can avoid it, for one never knows when an innocent patch of shade might be something more than it appears."

No, that isn't a member of the mask-happy metal band Slipknot, but probably one of the most blatantly fucking evil dubstep artists I've seen to date. Check out his new track "Gutfucker" below which reminds me of the scene from one of the SAW movies where the dude is getting pig guts slammed onto him. RUDE!

[DL] Stenchman - Gutfucker

*BONUS*
[DL] Zombie Nation - Forza (Housemeister Remix)
[DL] AC Slater - Vertigo (Nick Supply Remix)
[DL] Hostage - Special Brew
[DL] Patrick Wolf - Hard Times (Jack Beats Remix)
