Rusko

NIKE "WII" SKY FORCE

Starting off the with the Blazer, Air Force II, and the Air Max 95s, Nike has continued their "Wii" inspired series with the release of this smooth white-dominated Sky Force. The orange liner detailing and accent on the tongue makes this my personal favorite out of all of them.

Everyone can't seem to get enough of Skream, one of dubstep's originators. Since SXSW, dubstep has caught on like wildfire, with major producers such as Rusko, Caspa, Skream and Benga gaining more and more recognition for their talents everyday. Lately, Skream has been on fire, pumping out quality remixes and originals that are just begging to be played. So sit back and enjoy the beautifully bassy version of La Roux's "In For The Kill". And remember! Bass music is better LOUD!

STEPCHILD - MARCH PROMO MIX

Here's a solid, action-packed mix by local DJ Stepchild. Him along with other local dubheads Wolf-E-Wolf and The Phonies throw a bi-weekly party called School of Dub here in Little Rock. It's a great place to get familiar with this style of music. It's been gaining loads of popularity all over the country the past couple of years, especially after the SXSW and WMC festivals, and finally making it's way into the South..

Anyway, Stepchild will be putting out monthly promo mixes that you'll probably be seeing on here. Expect some tunes from the rest of the School of Dub Crew as well.

ZERO G - RANZOM

Post numero UNO! When I first heard this track in dubstep king Rusko's BBC Essential Mix, I didn't know what to do with myself. I was overwhelmed with a sudden rush of hatred that I could only let out by yelling and repeatedly pumping my fist in the air. I've searched every corner of the internet and this track is nowhere to be found for download or purchase. I'm assuming it's unreleased like a lot of the songs in that mix, but check out the snippet of it on YouTube. And if you for some reason don't have that Rusko Mix yet, do yourself a favor and download it. The sample from the movie Taken at the beginning sets the mood perfectly right before the bomb drops.
